Dr Gar Duen Wong, graduated from Otago University in 1986, with BDS & BSc(Hons) worked at Auckland Hospital, New Zealand Defence Force, Accident and Emergency Clinics in Remuera and Northshore before starting to practice in 18 Morrow Street Newmarket practice in 1995. Member of ITI ( International Team for Implantology, NZDA ( NZ Dental Association ) NZ Society of Endodontics (Inc), NZACD (NZ Academy Cosmetic Dentistry ) & NZIMID ( NZ Institute Minimal Invasive Dentistry)
Areas of interest are preventive dentistry where the patient has control of their dental health, oral surgery (removal of wisdom teeth) cosmetic dentistry, (smile makeovers) aesthetic dental implants, crown and bridge with porcelain, Dentures (False teeth) which are eventually become converted prosthetic implant bridges. Outside interests include reading on history and Chinese philosophy, Tai Chi, photography and cycling, enjoys treks and the outdoors including past treks to the Tongariro Crossing and canoeing down the Wanganui river. Also travelling with wife and son in developing countries such as India & Egypt. Married with one young adult son who is at University.
